Job Posting: Engineer, Design & Planning
Pay: ₹25,000 to ₹35,000 per month
Work Location: In person
Experience: 1 to 2 years in a similar Design & Planning role (manufacturing or engineering industry preferred)
Qualification: ITI / Diploma / BE in Mechanical Engineering

Role
The Design & Planning Engineer prepares manufacturing drawings and BOMs (Bills of Materials) for projects, using AutoCAD (2D drafting/design) and SolidWorks (3D modeling/design). They issue these to the respective departments or vendors, along with job orders and costing where required. The salary for this position is ₹25,000 to ₹30,000 per month, based on experience and skills.

Responsibilities
Check BOMs thoroughly and prepare BOMs for special designs
Prepare production drawings for all required components using AutoCAD (2D drafting/design)
Create 3D models and design layouts for new and special designs using SolidWorks (3D modeling/design)
Prepare cutting plans and cut-out details as required
Coordinate with all departments and with concerned personnel on revisions or clarifications




Release drawings to vendors for outsourced work
Check vendor quotes, get approvals, and follow up with vendors
Raise indents to the purchase department and stores for brought-out components, new requirements, and vendor POs
Prepare mock-ups for current designs and check all parameters
Maintain systematic project records
Follow project timelines strictly
Keep up knowledge of raw materials and processes
Provide data for organizational certifications
Report daily activities to the Manager
Perform other tasks assigned by management

Prerequisites
Knowledge of AutoCAD (2D drafting/design)
Knowledge of SolidWorks (3D modeling/design)
Knowledge of MS Office
Positive communication and interpersonal skills
Flexibility with working hours
Discretion in handling confidential matters
