About the Role:

Our client is a SEBI Registered Category-I Merchant Banking Firm engaged in Business & Investment Advisory, Credit Appraisal, Project Financing, Debt Syndication, Structured Finance, Equity Research, Valuation and Financial Due Diligence.

The group also has diversified interests in NBFC and Category-I AIF, with a solid presence across Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata and Bangalore.

They are looking for an experienced and highly driven Business Development qualified to independently build and lead the Mid-Market Business Development vertical for their Investment Banking / Debt Advisory practice.

Key Responsibilities
Drive Business Development for Investment Banking and Debt Advisory services
Identify and acquire recent corporate clients requiring debt funding, structured finance, project finance, refinancing and fund-raising solutions
Generate business through direct sourcing, cold calling, existing relationships,



DSA/intermediary networks and market outreach
Independently identify prospects, develop relationships with promoters/CFOs/finance heads and take mandates from lead generation through closure
Handle and originate debt transactions with ticket sizes of ₹50 Crore and above
Understand the client’s financial requirements and identify suitable debt products / funding structures available in the market
Develop relationships with corporates, promoters, CFOs, lenders, NBFCs, financial institutions, investors, DSAs and other market intermediaries
Conduct client meetings and present the company’s Investment Banking / Debt Advisory solutions
Coordinate with the internal credit, operations and execution teams for financial analysis, credit appraisal, transaction structuring and closure
Understand and analyse financial statements, business models, cash flows and funding requirements of prospective clients
