Emergency Driving: Operating ambulances quickly and safely in varying weather conditions and high-traffic scenarios.
Patient Transport: Moving patients onto stretchers and loading them into the ambulance, often assisting EMTs.
Vehicle Maintenance: Conducting pre-shift inspections (fuel, oil, tires) and ensuring the ambulance is clean, sanitized, and fully stocked with medical supplies.
Patient Care Support: Assisting with first aid, administering oxygen, and monitoring patients during transport.
Documentation & Reporting: Maintaining accurate logs (time, mileage, patient details) and reporting incident facts to medical staff or police.
Communication: Using radio equipment to coordinate with dispatchers and hospital staff. Betterteam +6

Required Qualifications & Skills




Licensure: Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Certification: High school diploma or GED; BLS (Basic Life Support), CPR, and sometimes EMT certification.
Physical Stamina: Ability to lift heavy stretchers and stand for long periods.
Skills: Exceptional defensive driving, navigation (GPS) skills, and the ability to remain calm under stress.
