Job Summary

The Production Manager will be responsible for planning, monitoring, and controlling day-to-day sheet metal production activities. The ideal candidate should have practical knowledge of sheet metal fabrication, production planning, manpower management, and manufacturing processes, along with basic AutoCAD knowledge.

Key Responsibilities
Plan, schedule, and monitor daily production activities to achieve production targets.
Manage sheet metal fabrication processes, including laser cutting, CNC bending, fabrication, welding, assembly, and finishing.
Coordinate with the design, quality, purchase, stores, and dispatch departments to ensure smooth production flow.
Allocate manpower, machines, and materials according to production requirements.




Monitor production progress and ensure timely completion of customer orders.
Read and interpret engineering drawings, fabrication drawings, and production documents.
Use basic AutoCAD knowledge to view drawings, understand dimensions, and support production-related activities.
Maintain production records, daily production reports, and job-wise progress reports.
Monitor rejection, rework, material wastage, and machine downtime, and take corrective actions.
Ensure product quality, dimensional accuracy, and adherence to customer specifications.
Implement 5S, workplace safety practices, and continuous improvement activities.
Monitor material availability and coordinate with the stores and purchase teams to avoid production delays.
