JOB DESCRIPTION – ACCOUNTANT

Location: Cosmic Heart Institute & Super Speciality Hospital, Gorakhpur

Job Purpose

To maintain accurate financial records, manage day-to-day accounting activities, ensure timely financial reporting, and support the hospital in maintaining proper financial control and compliance.

Key Responsibilities
Maintain daily accounting records, vouchers, ledgers and financial transactions.
Handle cash, bank transactions, receipts and payments.
Prepare invoices, bills, payment vouchers and receipts.
Perform bank reconciliation and ledger reconciliation.
Maintain accounts payable and receivable records.
Monitor outstanding payments and follow up when required.
Prepare monthly financial reports and statements.
Assist in payroll processing and salary-related accounting.
Maintain proper documentation of financial records.
Assist with GST, TDS and other statutory compliance requirements.
Coordinate with auditors, vendors, banks and other departments.
Ensure proper filing and confidentiality of financial documents.




Identify accounting discrepancies and resolve them promptly.
Perform any other finance/accounting duties assigned by management.

Required Qualifications
B.Com / M.Com / equivalent qualification in Commerce or Accounting.
Working knowledge of Tally/ERP and MS Excel.

Key Skills
Good numerical and analytical skills.

Valuable knowledge of MS Excel and accounting software.
Robust organizational and time-management skills.

Performance Expectations

The Accountant is expected to maintain accurate, timely and well-documented financial records and ensure that all accounting activities are performed in accordance with hospital policies and applicable statutory requirements.
Knowledge of GST, TDS and basic accounting principles.
Previous accounting experience, preferably in a hospital/healthcare organization, will be an advantage.

Pay: ₹8,500.00 - ₹42,000.00 per month
