Position: CSSD Technician (Central Sterile Supply Department)
Department: CSSD
Location: Dr. Shroff's Charity Eye Hospital, Delhi
Reports To: CSSD In-charge / Nursing In-charge

Job Summary

To ensure the proper cleaning, disinfection, packing, sterilization, storage, and distribution of surgical instruments and medical equipment in accordance with hospital infection control protocols.

Key Responsibilities
Receive, segregate, clean, and disinfect used surgical instruments and equipment.
Operate sterilization equipment, including autoclaves, as per established protocols.
Inspect, assemble, pack, label, and sterilize surgical instruments and sets.
Maintain sterilization records, cycle logs, and instrument traceability.
Monitor sterilization indicators and report any failed cycles or equipment issues.
Ensure proper storage and timely distribution of sterile instruments to OT and other departments.
Follow infection control, biomedical waste management, and occupational safety guidelines.




Maintain cleanliness and organization of the CSSD area.
Coordinate with OT and nursing teams to ensure the availability of sterile supplies.

Qualifications & Experience
Qualification: 10+2; CSSD Technician certification/diploma preferred.
Experience: 1–3 years of relevant experience preferred, ideally in a hospital or operation theatre setting.
Fresher also welcome with internship Experience
Knowledge of sterilization techniques, infection control, and surgical instrument handling.

Key Skills
Knowledge of sterilization and infection prevention protocols.
Attention to detail and record maintenance.
Teamwork, coordination, and time management.
Ability to work in shifts as per hospital requirements.
