Role Overview:
We are hiring a Part-Time Audio Codec Driver Expert to lead the development of audio drivers in a high-performance embedded environment. This role is ideal for a seasoned professional with deep expertise in audio domain, Linux kernel programming, and hardware-level driver development for Intel CPUs and TI processors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and optimize HD audio codec drivers in C for Linux (latest Ubuntu).
- Ensure compatibility with Intel-based platforms and TI processors (alternate requirement).
- Lead integration of audio subsystems in embedded Linux environments.
- Work closely with hardware teams to validate functionality and performance.
- Provide consulting-level insights and contribute to system architecture decisions.
Must-Have Skills:
- 10–25 years of experience in driver development, particularly in the audio domain.
- Solid proficiency in C programming and Linux (kernel-level) development.
- In-depth understanding of audio codec technologies (HD audio, embedded systems).
- Experience with Intel CPU architecture and optionally with TI processors.
- Excellent communication skills in both Hindi and English.
Ideal Candidate:
- Has prior experience in consultancy or part-time engagements.
- Can take ownership and work independently with minimal guidance.
- Brings strong problem-solving and debugging skills at the system level.
