Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Microsoft Purview Specialist with 4–8 years of relevant experience in Microsoft Purview, data governance, data cataloging, data classification, data lineage, metadata management, and data discovery.

The candidate will be responsible for implementing and managing data governance and cataloguing solutions using Microsoft Purview across Azure data environments.

Key Responsibilities-

- Implement and manage Microsoft Purview solutions.
- Configure and maintain data catalogs and data assets.
- Implement data discovery, classification, and governance processes.
- Manage data lineage and metadata across data sources.
- Configure and manage data scanning and asset discovery.
- Support data classification and sensitive data identification.
- Work with Azure Data Services and integrate them with Microsoft Purview.
- Develop and maintain data governance standards and processes.
- Ensure accurate and consistent metadata management.
- Monitor data governance activities and resolve related issues.
- Collaborate with Data Engineers, Architects, Developers, and business stakeholders.
- Prepare documentation related to data governance, cataloguing, and lineage.
- Support continuous improvement of data governance practices.

Required Skills

- 4–8 years of relevant experience in Data Governance/Data Management.
- Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Purview.
- Good understanding of Data Governance and Data Cataloging.




- Experience with Data Classification and Data Discovery.
- Strong understanding of Data Lineage and Metadata Management.
- Familiarity with Azure Data Services.
- Good SQL knowledge.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment.

Preferred Skills

- Experience with enterprise data governance projects.
- Knowledge of Azure data architecture.
- Experience with sensitive data classification.
- Understanding of data security and compliance requirements.
- Experience working directly with clients/stakeholders.
