Hiring: Maintenance Store In-charge

Job Summary

We are looking for a responsible and organised Maintenance Store In-charge to manage engineering stores, maintenance spare parts, inventory control, and purchase coordination. The ideal candidate should have experience handling mechanical and electrical spares in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the textile processing or chemical industry.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage the receipt, storage, issuance and return of maintenance spare parts, tools and consumables.
- Verify incoming materials against purchase orders and prepare Goods Receipt Notes (GRNs).
- Maintain accurate stock registers, bin cards and inventory records.
- Monitor minimum, maximum and reorder levels to ensure the availability of critical spare parts.
- Conduct periodic physical stock verification and reconcile stock with system records.
- Coordinate with the maintenance team to ensure the timely availability of spares for machines and utilities.
- Raise purchase indents and coordinate with the purchase department for quotations, comparison sheets and purchase orders.




- Follow up with vendors regarding pending orders and timely deliveries.
- Maintain records of slow-moving, non-moving and obsolete inventory.
- Prepare daily, weekly and monthly MIS reports using Excel or ERP.
- Ensure proper documentation, housekeeping, safety and 5S practices in the store.

Required Qualifications

- ITI / Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical, or a graduate degree in Commerce, Science, Business Administration or a related field.
- 2–3 years of experience in maintenance stores, engineering stores, inventory management or engineering spare-parts purchase.
- Experience in textile processing, chemical plants or other manufacturing industries is preferred.

Required Skills

- Knowledge of mechanical and electrical spare parts, bearings, belts, valves, fittings, lubricants and tools.
- Understanding of GRN, material requisitions, issue slips, stock verification and inventory control.
- Basic knowledge of MS Excel and ERP/inventory management systems.
- Experience in vendor coordination, quotation comparison and purchase follow-up.
- Positive organisational skills, accuracy, honesty and attention to detail.
- Basic communication skills in Hindi and English; Gujarati is an added advantage.

Pay: ₹22,000.00 - ₹28,000.00 per month
