About Spacemax

Spacemax is a modular furniture company specializing in space-saving furniture, customized furniture solutions, and B2B and B2C projects. We are looking for a hands-on, systematic, and accountable professional who can independently manage planning and material coordination with minimal supervision. The candidate must be comfortable working on the factory floor as well as handling drawings, spreadsheets, inventory records, and vendor follow-ups.

Key Responsibilities

1. Cutlist Preparation & Technical Planning

- Prepare accurate panel cutlists from furniture drawings, CAD drawings, and approved designs.
- Interpret technical drawings and identify material specifications, dimensions, thicknesses, and edge-banding requirements.
- Optimize sheet cutting layouts to minimize material wastage.
- Coordinate with the design team to clarify drawing discrepancies before production.

2. Bill of Materials (BOM) Preparation

- Prepare detailed BOMs for furniture products and project orders.
- Calculate requirements for plywood, MDF, laminates, edge bands, hardware, fittings, and other components.
- Ensure accurate material quantities and specifications before releasing jobs for production.
- Update BOMs whenever design or drawing revisions are approved.

3. Inventory & Material Management

- Monitor stock levels of raw materials, hardware, and consumables.
- Calculate material requirements based on production plans and upcoming orders.
- Coordinate with the purchase and stores teams to ensure timely material availability.
- Maintain accurate stock records, material issue records, and consumption reports.
- Identify shortages, excess inventory, and material wastage.

4. Vendor & Job-Work Coordination





- Coordinate with external vendors for outsourced processes such as cutting, edge banding, CNC machining, fabrication, and other job-work activities, as applicable.
- Prepare job-work material lists and issue instructions with clear quantities and specifications.
- Track material dispatches, job-work progress, delivery schedules, and incoming components.
- Follow up with vendors to ensure timely delivery and required quality standards.
- Reconcile material sent to vendors against material received and report shortages, damage, or wastage.

5. Production Planning & Coordination

- Prepare material readiness plans based on confirmed orders and production priorities.
- Coordinate with production supervisors, machine operators, stores, purchase, and project teams.
- Ensure production is not delayed due to missing cutlists, incorrect BOMs, or material shortages.
- Track pending jobs and escalate bottlenecks to the production manager.
- Maintain daily and weekly production planning and material status reports.

Required Skills & Qualifications

- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, Furniture Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in modular furniture manufacturing.
- Robust knowledge of furniture components, panel processing, cutting, edge banding, and hardware.
- Ability to independently prepare cutlists and BOMs from technical drawings.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD and Excel.
- Experience with cutting optimization software or CNC-based production planning will be an advantage.
- Practical understanding of factory machinery, material flow, inventory control, and job-work processes.
- Good vendor follow-up, coordination, documentation, and problem-solving skills.

Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹44,000.00 per month
