Job Summary

KNL Axles Pvt. Ltd. is looking for a skilled and experienced VMC Setter to set up, operate, and monitor Vertical Machining Centre (VMC) machines for precision machining of automotive and engineering components. The ideal candidate should have practical knowledge of machine setting, tool selection, offsets, drawing interpretation, and quality inspection.

Key Responsibilities

- Set up and operate VMC machines for production as per job requirements.
- Perform machine setting, tool setting, and workpiece setting.
- Set and adjust tool offsets, work offsets, and machining parameters.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and machining instructions.
- Select appropriate cutting tools, fixtures, and machining methods.
- Monitor machining operations and maintain required production quality.
- Check component dimensions using vernier calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments.
- Identify and troubleshoot machining, tooling, and setting-related problems.
- Maintain production targets while ensuring quality and minimum rejection.
- Follow safety procedures and maintain 5S standards at the workplace.




- Coordinate with the production and quality teams to ensure smooth operations.
- Maintain machine cleanliness and report maintenance requirements.

Required Skills and Qualifications

- ITI / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent technical qualification preferred.
- 2–5 years of hands-on experience in VMC machine setting and operation.
- Knowledge of tool offsets, work offsets, cutting tools, and machining parameters.
- Ability to read engineering drawings and understand tolerances.
- Knowledge of measuring instruments and quality inspection.
- Understanding of production processes, cycle time, and rejection control.
- Basic troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to work in shifts and perform overtime as per production requirements.

Preferred Candidate

Candidates with experience in automotive component manufacturing, precision machining, and production environments will be preferred.

Salary and Benefits
