Job Description – Commercial (Purchase)

Designation: Manager / Senior Manager – Commercial & Purchase
Experience: 10+ Years
Location: Corporate Office, Nagpur
Salary: As per industry standards and candidate’s experience
Reporting To: Management / Designated Senior Authority
Scope: All Group Companies

Job Purpose:
To manage centralized procurement of machinery, equipment, spares, technical materials, and services across the group’s coal washeries, plants, power projects, mining, and infrastructure businesses.

Key Responsibilities:

- Handle end-to-end purchase of machinery, plant equipment, spares, technical materials, and services.
- Understand technical specifications, evaluate equipment suitability, and coordinate technical assessments with plant and project teams.
- Manage vendor identification, techno-commercial evaluation, quotation comparisons, negotiations, and cost optimization.
- Coordinate with Plant Heads, Project Heads, Engineering, Operations, and Finance teams to ensure timely procurement.
- Manage service procurement, vendor contracts, work orders, and purchase documentation.
- Ensure procurement compliance with company SOPs,



budgets, and the Delegation of Authority (DOA).
- Prepare procurement MIS, cost-saving reports, and vendor performance reviews for management.

Qualifications & Requirements:

- B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical, Electrical, or relevant Engineering discipline preferred.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in technical procurement / commercial purchase, preferably in coal washeries, mining, power plants, or heavy industries.
- Solid technical understanding of industrial machinery, equipment, spares, and maintenance services.
- Excellent commercial negotiation, vendor management, and cost-control skills.

Reporting & Authority:

- Reports to Management / Designated Senior Authority.
- Exercises centralized procurement coordination across all group companies.
- Purchase recommendations and vendor negotiations are within the assigned role; final approvals and financial commitments must follow the approved DOA.

Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹70,000.00 per month
