We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Design Engineer to join our heavy fabrication business unit.
SOFTWARE: AUTOCAD- 2D drafting - ECXCELLENT.
Candidates must have past experience in AutoCAD.
Develop mechanical design calculations, drafting, and 2D fabrication drawings for custom equipment, including pressure vessels, heat exchangers.
Ensure all designs strictly comply with ASME Section VIII (Div 1 & 2), ASME B31.3 (Process Piping), and other international standards (API, ASTM).
Stay updated on annual or biannual changes to the ASME codes and integrate revisions into internal standards.
Must Required-
- Drafting & Manufacturing Documentation
- Generate comprehensive General Arrangement (GA) drawings, detailed component drawings, and Bill of Materials (BOM).
- Establish strict dimensional tolerances, machining finishes, and material allowances tailored to our shop floor's tooling capabilities.
- Manage engineering revision controls and compile complete technical submittal packages for clients and Third-Party Inspection Agencies (TPIAs).
- Collaborate with the Welding Engineer to design optimal weld configurations (groove angles, root faces, and gaps) that minimize distortion and maximize penetration.
- Generate and maintain Weld Maps, specify structural welding symbols on drawings according to AWS A2.4 or ISO standards, and designate appropriate filler metals.
- Review and align designs with approved Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) and Procedure Qualification Records (PQR) in compliance with ASME Section IX.
