We are developing an original collection of decorative paper lampshades, origami pendant lights, and innovative home decor products for international markets.
Responsibilities:
- Develop original origami-inspired lamp and lampshade designs.
- Create practical folding patterns, cutting and scoring layouts, and assembly methods.
- Develop physical working prototypes from initial concepts.
- Recommend suitable paper types and structural materials.
- Prepare production-ready drawings, templates, and assembly instructions.
- Work with our sourcing and production partners to improve manufacturability.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in paper engineering, structural packaging, origami design, or physical product development.
- Strong knowledge of folding structures, materials, and prototype construction.
- Proficiency in relevant design/CAD software.
- Ability to convert creative ideas into repeatable, manufacturable products.
- Prior experience with paper lighting or decorative products is a strong advantage.
Deliverables: Physical prototype, editable design files, folding/cutting patterns, material specifications, and assembly instructions.
