JMN Medical College, West Bengal, invites applications for the position of Medical Superintendent-cum-Vice Principal (MSVP).

THE LEADERSHIP ROLE

The MSVP will work closely with the Governing Body, Principal, Heads of Departments, Nursing Administration and administrative teams, with clearly defined authority and accountability.

ELIGIBILITY AND PREFERRED PROFILE

- Recognised postgraduate medical qualification and eligibility for appointment as Medical Superintendent under NMC regulations applicable on the date of appointment.
- At least 10 years of teaching experience in a medical institution, including at least five years as Professor, subject to applicable regulatory requirements.
- Valid medical registration and fulfilment of applicable statutory conditions.
- Demonstrated leadership in a teaching hospital, with sound understanding of clinical governance,



patient safety, hospital operations and medical education.
- Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams, manage emergencies, resolve operational problems and implement decisions consistently.
- Strong professional integrity, communication skills and commitment to compassionate, ethical care.

Preference will be given to candidates with successful experience as Medical Superintendent, Deputy Medical Superintendent, MSVP or in comparable teaching-hospital leadership roles.

An additional qualification in hospital administration, healthcare management or quality management will be desirable.

APPOINTMENT AND REMUNERATION

Appointment: Full-time, with regular on-site leadership and availability for urgent hospital matters.

Remuneration: Commensurate with qualifications, experience and demonstrated leadership achievements. Approx. 2-3 Lakhs with Accommodation

Selection will be based on seniority-cum-merit, leadership capability and fulfilment of applicable regulatory requirements.
