We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Purchase Executive for our equipment manufacturing operations. The candidate will be responsible for procurement planning, vendor management, purchase order processing, inventory coordination, and ensuring timely availability of materials required for production. Experience in SAP Business One (SAP B1) is mandatory/preferred.
Key Responsibilities
Handle end-to-end procurement activities for manufacturing materials and industrial components
Create and manage Purchase Orders (POs) in SAP Business One (SAP B1)
Float RFQs and collect quotations from vendors
Compare quotations and prepare cost comparison sheets
Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers
Coordinate with production, stores, and accounts departments
Track pending POs and ensure timely material delivery
Maintain vendor database and develop alternate vendors
Process GRPO entries and procurement documentation in SAP B1
Monitor inventory levels to avoid shortages and excess stock
Ensure proper record keeping of invoices, POs, and procurement reports
Follow company procurement policies and quality standards
Required Skills
Knowledge of procurement and vendor management
Experience in manufacturing or industrial procurement
Hands-on experience in SAP Business One (SAP B1)
Understanding of Purchase Orders, GRPO, and inventory management
Vendor negotiation and follow-up skills
Strong MS Excel knowledge
Positive communication and coordination skills
Ability to work under deadlines and pressure
Educational Qualification
Diploma / BE in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
OR
B.Com / BBA / MBA with relevant procurement experience
Experience Required
1–4 years of experience in Purchase / Procurement
Experience in equipment manufacturing industry preferred
SAP B1 experience preferred/mandatory
Preferred Candidate Profile
Knowledge of industrial materials and components
Familiarity with BOM and manufacturing process
Experience handling multiple vendors
Robust follow-up and documentation skills
Experience in ERP-based procurement systems
