Job Description:
• Own the operational delivery of publications programmes for regional and global clients, across the full publication lifecycle and a broad mix of deliverables, including publication plans, manuscripts, congress abstracts, posters, oral presentations, reviews and related scientific communications.
• Maintain a meaningful hands-on portfolio, personally writing and delivering priority or complex publications projects while modelling the standards expected of the wider team.
• Provide expert oversight of scientific content, publication strategy, author engagement, journal and congress requirements, review cycles, approvals and submission readiness.
• Resolve complex delivery, author and client issues decisively, protecting quality, timelines and trusted relationships.
• Establish and scale a centralised regional publications team capable of delivering high-quality work efficiently for multiple markets, agencies and global clients.
• Set transparent roles, workflows, capacity plans, governance, escalation routes and performance expectations that support predictable,



commercially sustainable delivery.
• Allocate work effectively, monitor portfolio health and balance quality, productivity, utilisation and team wellbeing.
• Create a collaborative, accountable culture in which writers take ownership, seek feedback and continually raise the standard of their work.
• Define and uphold publications standards aligned with client requirements, scientific integrity, good publication practice, relevant reporting guidelines, authorship principles, journal policies and internal SOPs.
• Implement practical quality controls, templates, checklists, review models and calibration routines that reduce variability, rework and avoidable risk.
• Use quality findings, delivery data and client feedback to identify root causes, coach the team and drive measurable continuous improvement.
