Role Description The Head Brewer is a full-time, on-site role based at the Local Ferment Co facility in Bengaluru. This role is responsible for overseeing the entire brewing and fermentation process, including recipe development, production scheduling, and quality control. Day-to-day tasks include managing ingredient sourcing, monitoring fermentation, performing sensory evaluations, and ensuring consistency across batches. The Head Brewer will lead and train brewery staff, maintain brewery equipment, and enforce hygiene and safety standards. You will work closely with the founding and management team to create innovative flavor combinations,



build new products from the ground up, and ensure consistent quality as we scale. This role is ideal for someone who wants to build, experiment, and grow with a startup rather than simply run an established process.

Key Responsibilities
• Oversee end-to-end brewing operations for Kombucha, sodas, and fermented ginger ale
• Develop, test, and refine recipes and recent flavor profiles
• Source and evaluate ingredients, and manage vendor relationships
• Manage fermentation processes and maintain batch consistency
• Set up and maintain quality control standards and troubleshoot brewing issues
• Drive new product development, from concept and R&D; to production
• Lead, train, and grow the brewing team
• Help build scalable processes and SOPs as the company grows
