Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Process Engineer – Anode Casting to oversee the operation and optimization of the copper anode casting section. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring safe, reliable, and productive production of high-quality copper anodes for electrolytic refining.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate and optimize the anode casting wheel and associated equipment.
• Monitor furnace temperatures, molten copper quality, and casting parameters.
• Ensure anodes meet dimensional, weight, and quality specifications.
• Coordinate furnace charging, skimming, and metal transfer operations.
• Monitor cooling systems, mould conditions, and casting cycle times.
• Troubleshoot casting defects such as cracks, warpage, pinholes, and uneven thickness.
• Implement process improvements to increase productivity and reduce metal losses.




• Coordinate preventive maintenance with the maintenance department.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards.
• Maintain production reports, process records, and KPI dashboards.
• Support commissioning and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Metallurgical, Chemical, Mechanical, or Materials Engineering.
• 5–10 years of experience in copper smelting, anode casting, or non-ferrous metallurgy.
• Strong knowledge of:
• Copper anode casting processes
• Melting and holding furnaces
• Casting wheels and mould maintenance
• Molten metal handling
• Process control and instrumentation
• Experience with SCADA/DCS systems is preferred.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and team leadership abilities.
• Knowledge of ISO, Safety, and Environmental Management Systems.
