Job Description:
The Category Sales Specialist is responsible for driving revenue growth for assigned product lines by working closely with Strategic Account Managers (SAMs), Key Account Managers (KAMs), and Category Managers. This role combines sales expertise with technical knowledge to identify opportunities, develop customer solutions, build a strong sales pipeline, and achieve product line revenue targets across enterprise and SMB customers.
Key Responsibilities:
• Owns & drives PL level Revenue Targets
• Drive sales engagements with SAMs,
KAMs in their accounts to drive PL level penetration
• Work closely with Category Managers to support sales engagements w.r.t pricing, demos and POCs
• Build and grow Funnel size & shape in every prospect
• Works closely with regional sales teams to drive weekly, monthly and quarterly forecasts/commits
• Works closely with Procurement to ensure timely order loads and billing
Skills and Competencies Required:
• Min. 4 years as a Sales professional with OEM’s/ large System Integrators, driving leading hardware, accessories and software products and solutions with large and SMB customers.
• Core Technical & Product Skills
• Deep Product Knowledge: Understand features, benefits, and value proposition thoroughly.
• Technical Aptitude: Grasp complex IT concepts (cloud, AI, software, hardware) to explain them simply.
