Director Marketing, APAC

This role leads marketing for Material across the APAC region, reporting directly to the VP, Marketing. You will own how Material shows up in the region: the events we host and attend, the press and analyst coverage we earn, and the joint marketing we run with our partners. You will be the regional voice in the global marketing team, bringing APAC market context into global planning and adapting global programs so they land locally.

You will work closely with the APAC revenue team, the global demand gen and brand teams, and the Partner team to build a regional calendar that creates pipeline, raises Material's profile with target accounts, and gives sales a steady flow of reasons to be in front of clients.

Event Management
• Own the APAC events calendar, including Material-hosted flagship events, executive roundtables and dinners, sponsored industry conferences and partner-led events
• Set objectives, target audience and budget for each event, and run it end to end: venue, agenda, speakers, invitations, in office delivery and follow-up




• Work with revenue teams before each event to build the invite list from target accounts and open opportunities, and after each event to make sure every lead and meeting is logged and followed up in Salesforce
• Measure each event against pipeline created, meetings booked and cost per opportunity, and use the results to decide what to repeat, change or drop
• Manage event agencies, venues and vendors across the region

PR and Communications
• Build and run the APAC PR program, working with the global communications team and regional PR agencies
• Secure media, analyst and industry coverage for Material's work, leaders and point of view in priority APAC markets
• Identify speaking slots and awards for Material's regional leaders and manage the submissions
• Prepare regional spokespeople with messaging, briefing documents and media training
• Adapt global announcements and thought leadership for APAC audiences
