Location : Mumbai or Chennai

Role Purpose:

This role is a key one, as the commercial contract manager is expected to act as the vital bridge between business operations (LoB, SDU), legal, and finance. Unlike a strictly legal role focused on liability, this position is dedicated to maximizing profitability, mitigating risks, and ensuring the business can successfully deliver on its agreements.

Key Responsibilities in the Pre-Sales Phase:

• Creating commercial structure based on approved models. Work will include structuring commercial terms (pricing, milestones, scope), evaluating financial viability, including favorable terms for Intellect, and establishing tight scope (both functional and technical) to prevent scope creep.
• Validating scope, effort, timelines and calculating margins – will involve intense discussions with sales/account management teams & senior management
• Preparing and validating commercial proposals and shipping post requisite approvals are in documented

Key Responsibilities in the Contract Phase:

• Pre-Award (Bidding & Negotiation):



Ensuring the company enters into secure and profitable agreements. This involves structuring commercial terms (pricing, milestones, scope), evaluating financial viability, assessing risks (penalties, delays), negotiating favorable terms, and establishing boundaries to prevent scope creep.
• Post-Award (Execution & Compliance): Facilitating the handover to execution teams by translating complex legal jargon into clear, actionable deliverables for project, sales, and operations teams.
• Optimization & Change Management: Protects project profitability as business realities shift. This will include structuring change orders for adjusted timelines or scope and working with project managers/account management, to control operational costs and ensure approved margins.
