Job Description

We are seeking a Maintenance Engineer – Mechanical to ensure the reliability, availability, and performance of mechanical equipment across the copper refinery. The role involves preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of process equipment while driving continuous improvement in plant reliability.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and execute preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
• Troubleshoot and repair pumps, gearboxes, conveyors, agitators, crushers, compressors, fans, blowers, heat exchangers, and piping systems.
• Oversee maintenance of furnaces, anode casting equipment, refinery machinery, and utility systems.
• Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) for equipment failures and implement corrective actions.
• Coordinate shutdowns, overhauls, and equipment commissioning.




• Manage spare parts inventory and maintenance documentation.
• Work closely with production teams to minimize downtime.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and maintenance standards.
• Support condition monitoring, vibration analysis, lubrication, and reliability improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
• 5–10 years of experience in heavy industrial maintenance, preferably in copper, steel, aluminum, mining, or process industries.
• Solid knowledge of rotating and static equipment.
• Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Familiarity with CMMS/SAP PM or equivalent maintenance software.
• Knowledge of predictive maintenance techniques.
• Strong troubleshooting and planning skills.
