About the Role
We are looking for a technically competent and proactive professional to handle GST advisory, litigation, departmental assessments and compliance reviews for a diverse portfolio of clients. The role involves providing practical GST solutions, representing clients in departmental proceedings, identifying tax risks and implementing robust GST compliance policies and best practices.
The candidate should possess strong analytical skills, sound knowledge of GST laws and the ability to independently manage client assignments and coordinate with GST authorities.

Key Responsibilities
1. GST Advisory & Technical Research
• Provide advisory on complex GST matters, including taxability, classification, rate applicability,



input tax credit (ITC), place of supply, time of supply and reverse charge mechanism.
• Analyse GST implications of business transactions, contracts, restructuring and commercial arrangements.
• Research GST provisions, notifications, circulars, advance rulings and judicial precedents.
• Prepare technical notes, opinions and advisory reports for clients.
• Identify GST exposure areas and recommend appropriate mitigation measures.
2. GST Litigation & Departmental Proceedings
• Handle GST notices, show-cause notices (SCNs), audit observations, demand orders and other departmental communications.
• Draft replies to notices, submissions, representations and appeals before GST authorities.
• Assist in first appeals, appellate proceedings, rectification applications and other appropriate remedies.
• Represent clients before GST officers and coordinate with departmental authorities during proceedings.
