The Exchange Engineering team is seeking to hire a Seasoned Engineering lead to strengthen its Engineering team in Hyderabad. This role will design, develop and scale backend platform that supports millions of transactions.Candidate must be well-versed and comfortable working in multiple aspects of a multi-tiered architecture, including but not limited to cloud-based applications and CI/CD processes.He/She should be able to demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills, be self-motivated, highly detail-oriented, able to context switch easily, work with vendor/offshore team(s), and be a strong team player.He/She will work with other engineers, managers, Product Management, QA, and Operations teams to develop innovative solutions that meet company initiatives with respect to functionality, performance, scalability, reliability, realistic implementation schedules, and adherence to development goals and principles.Principal Duties and Responsibilities:Define, design, and develop components using Java, Spring, Spring Boot, and AWS cloudCollaborate with architects, Systems Engineering, Product Management, and other technical and non-technical stakeholders throughout the product development lifecycleFormulate and communicate technical vision and strategy to business and technical stakeholdersDesign and develop data architecture, data definitions, and data manipulation structures across multiple database solutions including MySQL, MongoDB, Elastic Search, RedisImplement all aspects of development, including database, presentation, middle tier, and system interfacesAs a member of the Agile delivery team,



collaborate closely with the team and Product dailyRespond quickly and effectively to changes in requirementsDevelop and maintain system and technical documentationParticipate in project planning and estimation activitiesPrepare and maintain architectural document artifactsMentor and teach junior developers, promoting best practices in design, coding standards, and problem-solvingAssist with testing and release processes, including writing unit and integration testsCoordinate with development team members and perform code, design, and architectural reviewsExecute architectural design spikes and proof-of-concept implementationsEvaluate third-party software products as neededProvide detailed and accurate estimates for development effortsSupport production issues as and when required, including on-call supportMonitor AWS services and overall system behavior to ensure reliability, performance, and availabilityLeverage AI-assisted development and operational tools to reduce delivery timelines, improve developer productivity, and accelerate root cause analysis for production issuesLeverage AI tools (like GitHub CoPilot, Cursor, Claude Code) to accelerate productivity in code generation, refactoring, unit test creation, log analysis, anomaly detection, and incident troubleshooting while ensuring code quality, security, and compliance with organizational standardsContinuously evaluate and adopt emerging AI tools and practices to improve engineering efficiency, reduce manual effort, and enhance system observability and reliabilityRequired Qualifications:BS in Computer Science or related degree (Math, Engineering, Computers), or equivalent combination of education and experience5+ years of professional development experience in Java/J2EEStrong experience with unit testing frameworks such as JUnitExperience in System DesignExperience with Cloud Architecture (AWS preferred) and distributed systemsFamiliarity with Linux is a plusStrong problem-solving and analytical skillsStrong written and oral communication skillsExperience working in an Agile/Scrum environmentExperience in writing Unit, integration, automation and API testsExcellent troubleshooting skills and ability to work under pressurePreferred Qualifications:Demonstrated initiative beyond assigned tasks, identifying and driving improvements into the productExperience with AWS services, including RDS and DocumentDBExperience with Rules Engines and/or Event-Driven ArchitectureExposure to performance tuning and scalability improvementsExperience with any one CI/CD tools such as GitHub, Bitbucket, Bamboo, or similarExperience with Selenium, Playwright or similar modern automation frameworks.Skills:Languages: Java/J2EE, Spring, Spring Boot, HibernateTesting Frameworks: JUnitCI/CD: BitBucket,
