Job Summary: We are looking for an experienced Senior Backend Engineer with strong Python development skills and hands-on experience building scalable, secure, and reliable backend applications using AWS services and microservices architecture.

Key Responsibilities:

- Design, develop, and maintain backend applications using Python.
- Build and manage serverless applications using AWS Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, SNS, and SQS.
- Use AWS CDK for Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and cloud resource management.
- Develop and integrate REST APIs, webhooks, and third-party services.
- Implement reliable processing mechanisms, including retries, exponential backoff, throttling, and idempotency.
- Monitor application performance and troubleshoot issues using AWS CloudWatch logs, metrics, and alarms.
- Develop and maintain microservices and asynchronous messaging workflows.
- Use Git for version control and support CI/CD pipelines for automated testing and deployment.
- Follow best practices for application security, performance, scalability, and code quality.

Required Skills:

- 5+ years of experience in backend development, primarily using Python.




- Hands-on experience with AWS Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, SNS, and SQS.
- Experience with AWS CDK and Infrastructure as Code.
- Strong knowledge of REST APIs, webhooks, and third-party integrations.
- Understanding of microservices architecture and distributed systems.
- Experience with error handling, retries, throttling, and idempotent processing.
- Familiarity with AWS CloudWatch, Git, and CI/CD pipelines.

Good to Have:

- Experience with Auth0, OAuth2, and authentication/authorization mechanisms.
- Experience in the automotive or fintech domain.
- Familiarity with AI-powered coding tools such as Claude Code.
