Job Summary

We're Hiring | SAP FICO Subject Matter Expert.

Job Location: New Delhi.

Contract Duration: 5 Months.

Notice Period: Immediate Joiners or 30 Days Preferred.

Experience Required: 12 to 15 years of experience in SAP FICO implementation, enhancement, and support. Minimum 4-5 years of end-to-end SAP S/4HANA or SAP HANA implementations as FICO consultant. Experience in manufacturing industries such as Cement, Steel, Automotive, or FMCG preferred. Strong exposure to enterprise finance processes and large-scale SAP landscapes.

Qualifications

- Educational Qualification Required: Chartered Accountant (CA), Cost Accountant (CMA / ICWA), MBA (Finance), or Postgraduate Degree in Commerce.
- Bachelor's Degree in Commerce, Finance, Accounting, Information Technology, or related discipline.

Required Experience

- SAP FI Functional Expertise: General Ledger (FI-GL) including New GL, Accounts Payable (FI-AP), Accounts Receivable (FI-AR), Asset Accounting (FI-AA), SAP Taxation - GST/WHT/E-invoice/IRN/Reconciliations, Banking interfaces and reconciliation including EBRS, MT940, and DME, Financial closing processes and intercompany reconciliation, financial reporting, analytics, and statutory compliance & Fund Management.
- SAP CO Functional Expertise: Product Costing (CO-PC) including costing runs, product cost planning, and material ledger integration.
- Profitability Analysis (CO-PA) including customized profitability reporting.
- Cost Centre Accounting for overhead allocation and cost control.
- Material Ledger Accounting including valuation, actual costing, and variance analysis.
- Integration and Technical Exposure: Integration with MM, SD, PP, and PS modules.
- Experience in RICEF objects (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms) for complex manufacturing scenarios.
- Experience designing functional specifications for interfaces and custom developments.
- Behavioral and Leadership Competencies: Strong stakeholder engagement and ability to interact with senior leadership and business teams.

Certifications

- Preferred Certifications: SAP Certified Application Associate - Financial Accounting with SAP (FI).
- SAP Certified Application Associate - Management Accounting (CO).
- SAP S/4HANA Financial Accounting Certification.
- ITIL Foundation Certification (preferred for service governance environments).

Role Overview / Responsibilities

- Role description: We are seeking a Subject Matter Expert in SAP FICO to lead the design, optimization, and governance of finance processes within the SAP setting. The ideal candidate will drive best-practice implementation of Financial Accounting (FI) and Controlling (CO) modules, ensure seamless integration with core business processes, and support enterprise-wide finance operations. The role will focus on standardizing financial processes, improving system efficiency, and enabling data-driven financial reporting and compliance across plants, divisions, and group entities while supporting ongoing digital transformation initiatives within the finance function.
- Serve as the SAP FICO functional SME supporting finance users across group entities.
- Enable seamless business operations across Financial Accounting, Fixed Assets, Financial Analytics, and Statutory Compliance.
- Drive Center of Excellence (COE) practices across the business to standardize and harmonize finance processes.
- Translate finance business requirements into SAP S/4HANA-enabled solutions and system designs.
- Lead configuration and support for core finance processes including Procure-to-Pay (P2P), Order-to-Cash (O2C), and Record-to-Report (R2R).
- Manage system interfaces, enhancements, and troubleshooting of complex business scenarios.
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities, intercompany reconciliation, and financial reporting.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for integration with MM, SD, PP, and PS modules.
- Guide users on best practices, process improvements, and digital finance transformation initiatives.
- Provide L2/L3 support, manage user queries, and ensure high system availability and performance.
