Valuable to have: Cisco CCNA, RedHat Linux knowledge helpful

Key Responsibilities: -

- Incident & Problem Management: Serve as the primary escalation point for complex L2 network incidents, troubleshooting routing, switching, VPN, and firewall issues to resolution within SLA limits.
- Network Operations & Maintenance: Monitor network performance, bandwidth utilization, and device health using enterprise monitoring tools
- Configuration & Deployment: Configure, deploy, and manage routing and switching hardware (Cisco, D-link, Fortinet) and firewalls (Fortinet, Sophos XGS).
- Security & Compliance: Implement and maintain network security policies, access control lists (ACLs), VLAN segmentation, and firewall rulesets.
- VPN & Remote Access: Manage site-to-site VPNs, remote access VPNs, and secure tunnels ensuring reliable connectivity for remote workforce and branch offices.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate network topology diagrams, configuration backups, asset inventories, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Collaboration: Coordinate with vendors, carriers, and cross-functional IT teams (Systems, Security, Cloud) for hardware upgrades, firmware patching, and infrastructure projects.




- Central Infra Team Coordination and Daily Updates: Collaborating with the central infrastructure team and providing regular updates on the status of technical issues and resolutions.
- Operating System Knowledge: Proficiency in both Windows (mandatory) and RHEL operating systems, including troubleshooting and problem-solving.
- Remote Support and Troubleshooting: Providing remote support to users, both at remote locations and in the Central office, for addressing technical issues with systems and applications.
- Assignment of Work: Receiving and managing work assignments and requirements through Phone call, email or a central ticketing system.
- Network & Server Uptime and Daily Data-Backup Monitoring: Monitoring Network & server uptime and ensuring that daily health checkups are performed reliably and securely.
- System Data Backup Management: Managing the backup of critical system data to prevent data loss and ensure data integrity.
- Network & System Maintenance: Conducting routine system maintenance activities on a weekly and monthly basis to ensure optimal performance.
- Vendor Coordination: Coordinating with external vendors as necessary to address hardware or software-related issues and procure necessary equipment or services.

These responsibilities are crucial to ensuring the smooth operation and technical support within the organization, particularly in the context of Surat Metro Stations.
