Job Title: Electrical Designer

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Electrical Designer to support the Engineering team in preparing electrical drawings, equipment layouts, and Bills of Materials (BOM) as per customer requirements. The role involves designing electrical systems for Hyperscale Data Center Modules, ensuring compliance with engineering standards, customer specifications, and industrial regulations.

The candidate should be capable of working independently, resolving design-related issues, reviewing vendor drawings, and delivering accurate and high-quality engineering documentation.

Roles and Responsibilities

- Prepare, review, and check electrical drawings and Bills of Materials (BOM) as per customer requirements.
- Prepare bulk Material Take-Offs (MTOs) and detailed BOMs independently.
- Ensure all drawings comply with engineering standards, quality requirements, and departmental work instructions.
- Prepare electrical layout drawings to present proposed equipment arrangements and functionality to customers.
- Prepare electrical engineering deliverables, including:

- Cable Routing Drawings
- Panel Drawings and Panel Layouts
- Electrical Schematics
- Interconnect Diagrams
- Loop Diagrams
- Single-Line Diagrams and Electrical Wiring Schematics
- Cable Schedules
- Lighting Layouts and Location Plans
- Instrument Layouts and Location Plans
- Earthing Details
- Input/Output (I/O) Schedules
- Electrical Termination Hook-ups

- Support service personnel in resolving technical issues by simulating problems in drawings.
- Prepare sequence drawings and procedures for Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT).
- Prepare and compile installation procedures for customer submission.




- Supervise outsourced engineering design activities with third-party engineering and design firms, when required.
- Review vendor data and drawings to ensure compliance with client specifications and applicable standards.
- Generate reports from engineering models and provide design information to project teams, clients, and third parties.
- Document lessons learned and use feedback to improve engineering tools and procedures.
- Work independently on engineering work requests and support the Engineering Manager and Engineering team.

Educational Qualification

- Technical certification in Electrical Design or a related engineering discipline.

Experience

- 5to10 years of experience in electrical design for Hyperscale Data Center Modules or similar large-scale industrial environments.
- Experience in high-density data centers and hyperscale environments is strongly preferred.
- Experience in preparing electrical drawings, layouts, schematics, and engineering documentation.
- Experience working with Computer-Aided Design (CAD) and Building Information Modeling (BIM) software.
- Ability to prepare drawings and sketches to communicate design concepts.
- Good understanding of electrical systems used in facilities.
