About the Role

We are looking for an experienced, hands-on technical leader to design and develop scalable, high-performance backend systems while guiding engineering best practices and architectural decisions.

The role focuses on building systems that support accurate, efficient, and scalable accounting across global operations, with opportunities to contribute to data analytics and pipeline initiatives using Snowflake, Redis, and distributed event streaming and messaging platforms.

You will collaborate closely with Product, Operations, and Engineering teams to deliver business-critical capabilities in an agile environment that values technical excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain robust backend systems using Java 11+ and the Spring Boot ecosystem.
- Lead technical design discussions, code reviews, and architecture sessions with a hands-on approach.
- Build and maintain microservices and event-driven systems to process and distribute large volumes of financial data.
- Develop data integration and pipeline components connecting Snowflake, SQL Server, and real-time streaming platforms.
- Implement and optimize Redis-based caching and data stores for low-latency access.
- Champion best practices in code quality, testing, automation, performance tuning, and production readiness.
- Mentor engineers and promote solid problem-solving, design thinking, and technical craftsmanship.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to align technical solutions with product goals and business outcomes.
- Explore and apply AI-assisted development tools and emerging technologies to improve engineering productivity.

Required Qualifications and Skills





- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 8+ years of professional experience in Java development and object-oriented design.
- Strong expertise in Spring Boot, REST APIs, and enterprise integration patterns.
- Deep knowledge of SQL Server, including stored procedures, performance tuning, and data modelling.
- Experience using Redis for caching or data persistence.
- Hands-on experience with distributed event streaming, messaging platforms, or publish-subscribe systems for real-time event processing.
- Familiarity with Snowflake and data pipeline concepts, including ETL and batch versus streaming processing.
- Experience with AI-assisted or agentic coding tools and a general understanding of how large language models (LLMs) work.
- Strong understanding of clean architecture, maintainability, testing, and production-ready software.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to guide teams and influence technical direction.

Nice to Have

- Experience with container orchestration platforms, OCI-compliant container images, and cloud-native environments such as AWS or GCP.
- Exposure to observability tools and technologies, including metrics collection, Grafana, and OpenTelemetry.
- Python scripting experience for automation or data analysis.
- Exposure to prompt engineering and agentic AI.
- An interest in financial systems, accounting, or investment technology.
