Job SummaryThe Purchase Assistant supports the procurement function by assisting in sourcing materials, processing purchase orders, coordinating with suppliers, and ensuring timely availability of goods and services as per company requirements.

- Key ResponsibilitiesAssist in raising Purchase Requisitions (PR) and Purchase Orders (PO) as per approved requirements
- Obtain and compare quotations from vendors to ensure best price, quality, and delivery terms
- Coordinate with suppliers for order confirmation, delivery schedules, and follow-ups
- Maintain and update purchase records, vendor data, and documentation
- Track material delivery status and follow up for pending or delayed supplies




- Coordinate with stores/production/accounts for material receipt and invoice verification
- Assist in vendor evaluation and registration process
- Ensure compliance with company purchase policies and procedures
- Support in negotiation preparation and cost analysis
- Handle routine correspondence related to procurement activities
- Skills & CompetenciesBasic knowledge of procurement and purchase processes
- Valuable communication and negotiation support skills
- Ability to work with ERP systems / Excel / Purchase software
- Attention to detail and documentation accuracy
- Time management and follow-up skills
