About Praxas AI

Every company runs on an ERP. Very few get good decisions out of it. That's where Praxas comes in.

Praxas AI is an AI-native supply chain platform that works as a decision layer on top of the systems a company already has. We pull in scattered data from ERPs, spreadsheets and email, turn it into a single, trusted picture, and use optimization models and AI agents to recommend what to produce, stock, buy and ship. Plans keep re-optimizing as orders, capacity and supply change, and planners stay in control by approving every action.

What we stand for is easy: no rip-and-replace, no multi-year implementations, and no multi-million-dollar planning suites. We're building planning software that's fast to deploy, easy to use and priced for mid-sized companies.

We're starting with production planning for manufacturers, because that's where our first clients feel the most pain. Inventory, sourcing and shipping come next, followed by industries such as CPG, retail, chemicals and logistics. Our first manufacturing partners are already sharing their data and building the product with us. Built in India, for the world.

The Opportunity

We're looking for a Forward Deployed Engineer to embed with our clients and turn their messiest supply chain problems into optimized plans running in production.

This is a hands-on engineering role, not a traditional consulting, project management or customer success position. You'll sit with planners and plant heads to understand how the business really runs, formulate the right mathematical model, write production-quality code, connect our platform to their ERP, and stay until the plan is trusted and used every day. You'll move between a factory floor, a solver, an ERP database and a conversation with the owner without losing the thread.

Our clients' data lives in SAP, Tally, custom ERPs, spreadsheets and inboxes, and it's rarely clean. The work is never turnkey. You'll own hard implementation problems through to resolution, and turn what you learn in the field into reusable connectors, models and playbooks that make the next deployment faster.

You'll work directly with the founders and our engineering team. As one of our first hires, you'll help define how Praxas is built, deployed and sold.

What You Will Do

Deliver supply chain solutions

- Embed with clients from discovery through go-live, stabilization and handover
- Map each client's production, inventory, sourcing and logistics processes,

and the data behind them
- Translate business goals and ambiguous requirements into clear models, milestones and working software
- Own the outcomes clients care about: fewer lost sales, better on-time-in-full delivery, higher inventory turns and working capital released

Model and optimize

- Formulate and solve production planning and scheduling, inventory and safety stock, demand forecasting and supply planning problems
- Use linear and mixed-integer programming, constraint programming and heuristics, with solvers such as Gurobi, CPLEX or OR-Tools
- Build models that re-optimize continuously as orders, capacity and supply change
- Validate models against real client data, test them on past periods, and explain trade-offs clearly to planners

Engineer in the client environment
- Write production-quality code in Python and SQL
- Build and maintain ERP connectors for SAP, Tally, Microsoft Dynamics and custom databases, using APIs, OData and direct SQL
- Build data pipelines and data-quality checks, and reconcile Praxas numbers with the client's own reports
- Deploy and troubleshoot client environments on AWS, working within each client's IT and security controls
- Integrate AI agents into planning workflows, with human approval at every step

Build client capability

- Run workshops, design reviews and hands-on training for planners, purchase teams and plant heads
- Build trust in the system's recommendations so clients act on them every day
- Communicate trade-offs and risks clearly to planners, managers and owners
- Keep scope disciplined and make realistic technical commitments

Make the product better

- Turn recurring client needs into product features, reusable connectors and deployment templates
- Cut implementation time with every deployment
- Write clear documentation: data maps, model specs, runbooks and decision logs

What Success Looks Like In the first 90 days

- Build a working knowledge of the Praxas data model, planning engine and deployment setup

- Take one client from data access to a production plan running on their live data, with numbers that match their own reports
- Build or strengthen at least one reusable ERP connector
- Write documentation that makes the next client onboarding faster

Within 6–12 months

- Lead several client deployments end to end, from discovery to daily use
- Cut onboarding time from weeks to days
- Show measurable impact at your clients, such as fewer lost sales, lower inventory and better on-time delivery
- Turn field lessons into product features, connectors and playbooks the whole team uses

Who You Are

Required

- 3–8 years building or implementing supply chain planning solutions, at a platform such as o9, Blue Yonder, Kinaxis or SAP IBP, at an implementation partner, or in a similar role
- Exceptional coding ability: you write production-quality Python and SQL, and you're comfortable with APIs, data pipelines and cloud deployment
- Strong operations research and mathematical modelling: linear and mixed-integer programming, scheduling, heuristics, forecasting and inventory theory
- Hands-on experience with AI and machine learning, including building with large language models and AI agents and applying them to planning problems
- Hands-on experience integrating with ERPs such as SAP, Tally, Microsoft Dynamics, Oracle or custom systems
- Deep understanding of at least two of production planning and scheduling, demand planning, inventory planning, S&OP;, procurement and logistics
- Proven client-facing skills: you can run a workshop, gather requirements and explain a model to someone who isn't technical
- Comfortable working on factory floors and travelling to client sites

Nice to have

- Experience in manufacturing, which is extremely beneficial
- A degree in operations research, industrial engineering, computer science or mathematics
- Time at a startup or on an early product team

Compensation and Equity

- Competitive salary, with raises tied to company milestones
- Meaningful equity through ESOPs, vesting over 4 years with a 1-year cliff, so you own part of what you help build
- Early-team ownership: a real say in the product, the way we deploy it and the culture we build

How to Apply

Send your CV or LinkedIn profile to [email protected] with the subject line "Forward Deployed Engineer – Supply Chain". Include a short note on a model or integration you built, and what changed for the client because of it.
