ABOUT THE ROLE The Structural Draftsman role offers an opportunity to develop practical expertise in structural drafting and detailing across RCC, steel and composite structures. You will work closely with structural engineers and architects to prepare detailed structural drawings, framing plans, reinforcement details and connection drawings for residential, commercial, institutional and industrial projects.

The role provides hands-on exposure to structural design coordination, construction drawings and site requirements, building a strong foundation for a career in structural drafting and detailing.

Qualification: B.E. / B.Tech / Diploma in Civil Engineering

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

▪ Prepare detailed structural drawings, including plans, sections, elevations and layouts for RCC, steel and composite structures.

▪ Develop framing plans, beam-column layouts, footing plans, slab layouts and reinforcement details based on structural design inputs.

▪ Prepare structural connection drawings, including bolted, welded and base plate connection details.





▪ Prepare steel fabrication drawings and RCC reinforcement detailing as per engineering instructions and relevant IS codes.

▪ Read and interpret architectural drawings and coordinate them with structural design requirements.

▪ Assist in converting architectural drawings into structural layouts, identifying load paths and coordination challenges.

▪ Prepare and manage drawings using Autodesk AutoCAD, including model space, paper space, viewports, layouts, sheet sets and plotting.

▪ Manage layers, linetypes, dimensions, annotations, blocks, dynamic blocks and attributes to maintain qualified drawing standards.

▪ Ensure drawings follow project standards, drawing conventions and company templates.

▪ Incorporate drawing revisions based on design changes, site updates and client feedback.

▪ Coordinate with structural engineers, architects and site teams to resolve drawing-related queries and discrepancies.

▪ Maintain organised drawing archives, revision records and backups for all projects.
