Company Description Dart Browser is a Chromium-based browser built for digital sovereignty in the agentic era. It is the first browser to combine a local-first AI agent, hardware-bound cryptography and bring-your-own-model in one product. Built for macOS and optimised for Apple Silicon, Dart runs its AI agent on-device using the Apple Neural Engine, binds encryption keys to your hardware with the Ironclad Locker, and uses NIST-standardised post-quantum algorithms by default.

A built-in content blocker removes ads, trackers and malware at the network level. Dart is user-funded: we don't sell data and we don't track behaviour. Public beta launches in Q4 2026.

Role Description As a Software Engineer (SDE-1), you'll work on the core Dart Browser codebase, building features that make the browser more private, faster and more secure. You'll implement features in the browser and its on-device AI agent, write clean and tested code, debug and profile performance on Apple Silicon, and work with cryptography and networking libraries alongside senior engineers. We're a small team with no layer of management between you and the decision, so you'll own real parts of the product from early on.

This is a full-time, fully remote role, and most of our collaboration happens in writing.

Qualifications





- Fresh graduate or 0–2 years of experience, based in India
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
- Strong fundamentals in data structures, algorithms and operating systems
- Working knowledge of at least one of C++, Swift, Rust or a similar systems language
- Ability to write maintainable, well-tested code and use version control systems such as Git
- Effective remote collaboration skills, including clear communication and ownership of assigned tasks
- Familiarity with browser internals, networking, or systems programming on macOS is a plus
- Interest in security, cryptography, and privacy-preserving technologies; prior experience is beneficial
