Role Description The Senior User Experience Designer is a full-time, on-site role based in Ahmedabad, responsible for shaping intuitive, engaging digital and in-salon experiences that reflect the HAIR RAP BY YOYO brand. This role involves leading end-to-end UX design, including discovery, concept development, wireframing, prototyping, and visual design for customer-facing and internal touchpoints (such as booking systems, digital content, and in-salon interfaces). The Senior UX Designer will conduct user research to understand client needs and behaviors, translate insights into experience strategies, and collaborate closely with salon leadership, marketing, and any external partners.

Day-to-day activities include creating design artifacts, running design workshops, validating solutions through usability testing,



and ensuring that all experiences are consistent, accessible, and aligned with the salon’s premium, creative positioning.

Qualifications

- Strong foundation in User Experience (UX) and Design Thinking, with the ability to lead end-to-end experience design projects.
- Hands-on experience in User Research, including planning studies, conducting interviews or observations, and synthesizing insights into actionable recommendations.
- Proficiency in Visual Design and interaction design, creating clear, aesthetically aligned interfaces and layouts for digital and in-salon touchpoints.
- Advanced skills in Prototyping (low- to high-fidelity) and usability testing using modern design and prototyping tools.
- Experience designing customer journeys and service blueprints, ideally for lifestyle, retail, or hospitality brands.
- Ability to collaborate with non-technical stakeholders, communicate design decisions clearly, and present work to leadership.
- Understanding of responsive design, accessibility principles, and best practices for mobile-first experiences.
- Bachelor’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or related field, or equivalent skilled experience.
- Experience mentoring other designers and contributing to design standards or guidelines is an advantage.
- Prior work in beauty, fashion, retail, or service-based industries is a plus, along with a strong portfolio demonstrating relevant UX
