Role Description The Senior Accountant role at Automotive Doctors is a full-time, on-site position based in Tiruchirappalli. The role involves managing day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger maintenance, accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, and month-end and year-end closing activities.

The Senior

Accountant prepares financial statements, monitors cash flow, and supports budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and local regulations. This position collaborates closely with management to provide financial analysis, improve internal controls, and support decision-making related to repair operations, inventory, and service revenue.



The role also includes overseeing junior accounting staff, coordinating with external auditors, and contributing to the continuous improvement of financial processes and systems.

Qualifications

- Strong core accounting skills, including general ledger management, financial reporting, and reconciliation.
- Experience with budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and financial analysis in a service or automotive-related environment.
- Proficiency with accounting software and Excel, including the ability to work with spreadsheets, reports, and financial models.
- Working knowledge of applicable accounting standards, taxation, and compliance requirements.
- Demonstrated ability to lead or mentor accounting staff and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Excellent attention to detail, organization, and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for preparing reports and explaining financial information to non-finance stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; qualified certification (such as CA, CMA, or equivalent) is an advantage.
- Prior experience in a senior accounting role; experience in automotive, retail, or service operations is beneficial.
