Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Sales Staff role based at Bakery B in Ernakulam.

The Sales

Staff is responsible for greeting customers, understanding their needs, and guiding them through product selections, including breads, cakes, pastries, and other baked items. Daily tasks include taking and processing orders at the counter, handling payments, packing products, and ensuring accurate billing. The role also involves maintaining product displays, keeping the sales area clean and organized, monitoring stock levels, and coordinating with the kitchen team to ensure timely product availability.

The Sales





Staff will respond to customer inquiries, manage basic customer complaints, and support special orders and festive promotions.

Qualifications

- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and courteously with diverse customers.
- Basic sales and point-of-sale (POS) skills, including handling cash, card payments, and maintaining accurate billing records.
- Attention to detail and basic numeracy skills to manage orders, quantities, and product labeling correctly.
- Ability to work on-site in Ernakulam with flexibility for weekends, holidays, and peak hours as needed.
- Good organizational skills and a focus on cleanliness and hygiene in the sales and display areas.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and handle light physical tasks such as packing products and arranging displays.
- Previous experience in retail, food service, or bakery sales is an advantage but not mandatory.
- Basic proficiency in local languages and English is preferred to support effective customer interaction.
