This is a hands-on managerial position, not simply a tax preparer or bookkeeper role.

Key Responsibilities & Required Experience:

1. Full-Service Payroll Processing (MUST HAVE)

- Hands-on experience with Payroll Relief (AccountantsWorld) and/or QuickBooks Desktop Payroll
- Independently manage payroll from start to finish for multiple clients
- Handle federal and state payroll tax filings, including Forms 941, 940, W-2, W-3, and state unemployment filings
- Manage payroll tax notices, reconciliations, and client inquiries

2. Business & Individual Tax Returns (MUST HAVE)

- Robust knowledge of U.S. federal and state taxation
- Experience preparing and reviewing Forms 1040, 1065, 1120, and 1120-S
- Handle tax adjustments, reconciliations, and client communications
- Independently manage tax return preparation and filing deadlines

3. Bookkeeping & Sales Tax (MUST HAVE)

- Experience with QuickBooks Desktop and QuickBooks Online
- Review financial statements, bank reconciliations, and general ledgers
- Manage monthly and quarterly bookkeeping
- Prepare and file sales tax returns

4. Client Management & Communication (CRITICAL)





- Excellent spoken and written English communication skills
- Independently communicate with U.S. clients through phone, email, and video meetings
- Manage client relationships, resolve issues, and follow up on outstanding information
- Assign, review, and supervise work performed by junior staff
- Take full ownership of assigned clients without constant supervision

Ideal Candidate

✅ Minimum 5 years of U.S. accounting and tax experience preferred

✅ Prior experience as a Team Lead, Accounting Manager, or Tax Manager

✅ Strong knowledge of U.S. payroll, taxation, bookkeeping, and sales tax

✅ Comfortable directly interacting with U.S.-based clients

✅ Able to manage multiple client accounts and deadlines independently

✅ Organized, accountable, detail-oriented, and proactive

✅ Comfortable working remotely with reliable internet and a professional workspace

✅ Available to work with appropriate overlap during U.S. Central Time business hours
