Role Description The Purchasing Manager is a full-time on-site role based in Pune City, responsible for overseeing procurement of coffee beans, bakery ingredients, packaging, equipment, and café supplies. This role includes identifying and evaluating suppliers, negotiating pricing and contracts, and ensuring timely delivery of goods to support roasting and café operations.

The Purchasing

Manager will maintain inventory levels, track purchase orders, monitor quality of received goods, and align purchasing decisions with budget and business goals. Day-to-day tasks also involve collaborating with roasting, kitchen, and café teams to forecast demand, manage stock, and minimize waste. The role requires maintaining accurate purchasing records,



implementing productive procurement processes, and supporting overall operational efficiency and cost control.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong procurement and vendor management skills, including supplier sourcing, negotiation, and contract management.
- Candidates should possess inventory control and forecasting skills, including demand planning, stock monitoring, and basic cost analysis.
- Candidates should possess organizational and analytical skills, including attention to detail, data-driven decision making, and proficiency with spreadsheets or procurement software.
- Candidates should possess communication and collaboration skills, including the ability to work closely with roasting, kitchen, and café teams and maintain professional relationships with suppliers.
- Candidates should possess basic knowledge of coffee, food ingredients, or café operations, with an interest in specialty coffee and quality-focused sourcing practices.
- Relevant experience in purchasing, supply chain, or operations in F&B;, hospitality, or retail is beneficial.
- A diploma or degree in supply chain management, business, or a related field is advantageous but not mandatory if experience is demonstrated.
- Ability to work on-site in Pune City, manage multiple priorities, and adapt in a fast-growing startup environment.
