We are seeking an experienced Process Engineer – Anode Casting to oversee the operation and optimization of the copper anode casting section. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient production of high-quality copper anodes for electrolytic refining.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

- Operate and optimize the anode casting wheel and associated equipment.
- Monitor furnace temperatures, molten copper quality, and casting parameters.
- Ensure anodes meet dimensional, weight, and quality specifications.
- Coordinate furnace charging, skimming, and metal transfer operations.
- Monitor cooling systems, mould conditions, and casting cycle times.
- Troubleshoot casting defects such as cracks, warpage, pinholes, and uneven thickness.
- Implement process improvements to increase productivity and reduce metal losses.




- Coordinate preventive maintenance with the maintenance department.
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards.
- Maintain production reports, process records, and KPI dashboards.
- Support commissioning and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

- Bachelor’s Degree in Metallurgical, Chemical, Mechanical, or Materials Engineering.
- 5–10 years of experience in copper smelting, anode casting, or non-ferrous metallurgy.
- Strong knowledge of:
- Copper anode casting processes
- Melting and holding furnaces
- Casting wheels and mould maintenance
- Molten metal handling
- Process control and instrumentation
- Experience with SCADA/DCS systems is preferred.
- Robust troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and team leadership abilities.
- Knowledge of ISO, Safety, and Environmental Management Systems.
