Company Description Cellumantra Biorefinery Pvt. Ltd. is a DPIIT-recognized green biotechnology startup developing an enzymatic biorefinery platform to convert non-wood agricultural waste into industrial enzymes and advanced biomaterials. The company focuses on revenue-first enzyme production for sectors such as textiles and wastewater treatment, followed by high-margin cellulose nanofibers (CNF) for sustainable materials.

Its technology is optimized for Indian biomass, enabling cost-effective and scalable manufacturing solutions. By leveraging circular processes, Cellumantra aims to reduce farm-waste burning, lower import dependency, and support a more sustainable industrial ecosystem.

Role Description The pre-seed fundraising consultant role is a full-time, remote position focused on securing early-stage capital on a success-fee basis. Day-to-day responsibilities include identifying and profiling relevant angel investors, family offices, and early-stage funds, and building a qualified pipeline of potential backers. The consultant will prepare and refine pitch decks, financial models, and investment memos, and coordinate investor outreach campaigns, meetings, and follow-ups.

The role also involves advising on fundraising strategy, valuation, and deal structuring, while maintaining accurate tracking of investor interactions and progress. Collaboration with the founding team to align fundraising narratives with technical milestones, market validation, and revenue plans is expected.

Qualifications





- Track record in pre-seed or seed fundraising, including experience with investor sourcing, outreach, and closing equity or convertible instruments.
- Strong financial skills, including understanding of early-stage valuation, cap tables, term sheets, and basic financial modeling.
- Exposure to climate-tech, biotechnology, deep tech, or impact investing, with the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical investors.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to craft clear pitch decks, investment memos, and concise email campaigns.
- Strategic planning and negotiation skills, including deal structuring, setting fundraising timelines, and managing investor expectations.
- Comfort working remotely and independently, with disciplined time management and transparent reporting to the founding team.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, engineering, biotechnology, or a related field; advanced degrees are an advantage but not required.
- Prior work with startup accelerators, incubators, or venture networks in India or globally is a plus.
