Role Description The IBDP Counsellor will provide end-to-end guidance to International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme students on academic planning, subject selection, and study abroad pathways. This is a full-time, in office role based in Navi Mumbai, involving regular interaction with students, parents, and school stakeholders. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting one-on-one counselling sessions, organizing workshops and information sessions, supporting university and course shortlisting, and advising on application strategies, timelines, and documentation.





The role also involves mentoring students on SOPs, essays, and recommendation planning, tracking their progress, and maintaining accurate counselling records. The counsellor will collaborate with internal teams to stay updated on global admission trends, scholarships, and visa requirements, and contribute to improving counselling processes and student outcomes.

Qualifications

- Strong knowledge of the IBDP curriculum, international education systems, and global university admissions processes.
- Experience in academic counselling, career guidance, or study abroad advisory, ideally with IB or international school students.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with the ability to build trust with students and families.
- Organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple student cases, deadlines, and detailed documentation.
- Ability to analyze student profiles and align academic interests, strengths, and career goals with suitable universities and programs.
- Comfort with using digital tools, CRM systems, and online research for universities, courses, scholarships, and visa requirements.
- Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Education, Psychology, Counselling, or a related field; relevant certifications in counselling are an advantage.
- Demonstrated sensitivity to diverse cultural backgrounds and a commitment to equal prospect and inclusive student support.
