Role Description The Health Safety Environment Officer is a full-time, on-site role based in Mumbai. This role is responsible for implementing and monitoring health, safety, and environmental policies across the workplace and project sites, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and company standards. Day-to-day tasks include conducting safety inspections, risk assessments, and audits; identifying hazards; recommending corrective actions; and tracking follow-up measures.

The officer will deliver safety trainings and toolbox talks, maintain incident and accident records, and support investigations to prevent recurrence.



The role also involves collaborating with project managers and site teams to integrate HSE best practices into daily operations and promote a culture of safety and environmental responsibility.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess robust Health & Safety and Workplace Safety skills, with practical experience in implementing safety programs.
- Candidates should possess Environment Health and Safety (EHS) knowledge, including environmental compliance and protected work practices at construction or industrial sites.
- Candidates should possess Occupational Health understanding, including risk assessment related to employee health and exposure to workplace hazards.
- Candidates should possess NEBOSH or equivalent internationally or nationally recognized HSE certification, demonstrating formal training in safety management.
- Relevant bachelor’s degree or diploma in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Ability to interpret and apply local HSE regulations and standards, and prepare clear reports and documentation.
- Strong communication and training skills, with the ability to influence and engage site personnel at all levels.
- Prior experience as an HSE professional in construction, industrial, or technology-related projects is highly beneficial.
