Role Description

Lead MSN's AI, ML, and GenAI function, owning the strategy, research direction, and delivery of AI capability across the platform. This is a senior technical leadership role for someone who can build and lead an AI team while staying hands-on across CNN/LSTM, LLM + RAG, vector databases, MLOps, and spatio-temporal NLP.

Key Responsibilties

- Own AI/ML/GenAI strategy, research direction, and delivery across the platform
- Lead and grow a team of AI, ML, and GenAI engineers
- Architect model pipelines spanning CNN/LSTM, LLM + RAG, and spatio-temporal NLP
- Own MLOps practices, vector database strategy, and model lifecycle management




- Translate program and customer requirements into deployable AI capability
- Ensure AI systems meet security and air-gapped deployment requirements
- Set standards for model quality, evaluation, and responsible AI
- Partner with platform and specialist engineering on integrated systems
- Stay current on research and translate advances into applied capability

Required Qualifications

- 10+ years in AI/ML, including leadership of an AI or ML engineering team
- Strong hands-on depth across deep learning, LLMs, RAG, and NLP
- Experience with MLOps, model lifecycle management, and vector databases
- Proven ability to take models from research through production deployment
- Experience architecting AI systems under real-world constraints
- Robust technical leadership and mentoring skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Master's or PhD in Computer Science, AI, or a related field (or equivalent experience)

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience deploying AI in air-gapped, secure, or classified environments
- Experience with geospatial or spatio-temporal AI applications
- Publications or applied research in relevant AI domains
