Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Gold Loan Valuer role based in Kanpur.

The Gold Loan

Valuer is responsible for accurately assessing the purity, weight, and value of gold ornaments and items presented as collateral, using standardized valuation methods and tools. The role includes verifying documentation, ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory guidelines, and preparing valuation reports to support loan approval decisions. The Valuer will work closely with branch staff and customers to explain valuation outcomes,



maintain transparent communication, and uphold high standards of customer service. Daily responsibilities also involve safeguarding pledged gold, maintaining detailed records, and supporting periodic audits and stock verification.

Qualifications

- Ability to accurately assess gold purity, weight, and value using industry-standard techniques and equipment.
- Solid understanding of gold loan processes, collateral management, and basic lending principles in NBFC or banking environments.
- Attention to detail with solid record-keeping skills and familiarity with branch operations and audit requirements.
- Customer-focused approach with clear communication skills and the ability to explain valuations and processes in a simple, respectful manner.
- Integrity and adherence to ethical standards, including strict compliance with company policies and regulatory guidelines.
- Basic computer proficiency for data entry, valuation reporting, and use of internal loan management systems.
- Prior experience in gold valuation, jewelry appraisal, pawnbroking, or related financial services roles is highly beneficial.
- Minimum educational qualification of a high school diploma; vocational or certification courses in jewelry or gold appraisal are an advantage.
- Comfort working in a branch-based, on-site environment in Kanpur and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
