Having mentored more than 1,000 students and supported over 800 families, we are now extending our personalised approach to GCSE students.

We are looking for tutors who share our belief that every student can thrive with the right support.

About the RoleAs an Online GCSE Tutor and Academic Mentor, you will deliver engaging, personalised lessons to UK-based students through one-to-one and small-group sessions.

You will be expected to understand the UK GCSE curriculum, adapt your teaching to individual student needs and help students develop subject knowledge, confidence and effective examination techniques.

This is a fully remote, part-time opportunity, with lessons scheduled around UK student availability.

Key Responsibilities

- Plan and deliver high-quality online GCSE lessons.
- Teach in accordance with UK GCSE curriculum and examination requirements.
- Adapt teaching methods to students' abilities and learning needs.
- Identify knowledge gaps and provide targeted support.
- Prepare lesson materials, practice questions and homework.




- Teach examination techniques, revision strategies and effective study habits.
- Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback.
- Maintain clear communication with the Focused Mentoring team.
- Ensure lessons are engaging, interactive and well structured.
- Maintain professionalism, punctuality and a supportive learning environment.

What We're Looking ForEssential Requirements

- Minimum two years' experience in teaching or tutoring.
- Strong subject knowledge in at least one GCSE subject.
- Excellent spoken and written English.
- Ability to explain complex concepts clearly and confidently.
- Experience teaching students online.
- Willingness to learn and follow the UK GCSE curriculum and examination requirements.
- Availability during UK after-school hours and/or weekends.
- Reliable internet connection, laptop, webcam and microphone.
- Skilled, organised and student-focused approach.
- Willingness to complete appropriate safeguarding training and background checks.

Desirable Qualifications

- Previous experience teaching GCSE,



IGCSE or British curriculum students.
- Familiarity with AQA, Pearson Edexcel or OCR examination boards.
- Relevant bachelor's or master's degree.
- Teaching qualification such as B.Ed, PGCE or equivalent.
- Experience preparing students for formal examinations.

Working Arrangements

- Location: Fully remote – international applicants welcome.
