About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Azure Data & Security Engineer to align security permissions between Microsoft Fabric and Databricks Unity Catalog using Microsoft Entra ID groups. The role also involves automating infrastructure provisioning for localized analytics environments using Terraform or Bicep and Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines.

This is a part-time, fully remote opportunity for professionals with hands-on expertise in Azure cloud infrastructure, data security, identity management, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).

Key Responsibilities

- Synchronize access control policies between Databricks Unity Catalog and Microsoft Fabric.
- Integrate Microsoft Entra ID security groups to maintain consistent permissions across both platforms.
- Implement and manage Row-Level Security (RLS), Column-Level Security (CLS), and role-based access control (RBAC).
- Work with Microsoft Fabric, including OneLake, Direct Lake, Semantic Models, and Fabric capacities (F-SKUs).
- Develop Infrastructure as Code solutions using Terraform or Bicep.
- Automate provisioning of Azure resource groups, subscriptions, storage, and Fabric capacities.




- Build and maintain Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines to deploy infrastructure using configuration files.
- Troubleshoot access control, deployment, and configuration issues across Azure data platforms.

Required Skills

- Microsoft Fabric: OneLake, Direct Lake, Semantic Models.
- Databricks Unity Catalog and access control.
- Microsoft Entra ID, security groups, RBAC.
- Row-Level Security (RLS) and Column-Level Security (CLS).
- Terraform or Azure Bicep.
- Azure DevOps and CI/CD pipeline automation.
- Azure resource groups, subscriptions, storage, and Fabric capacities.
- Strong understanding of cloud security and identity governance.
