About HALBEX

HALBEX is building a B2B international export marketplace focused exclusively on halal FMCG food products sourced from India and supplied to international buyers.

We follow a merchant-trader model in which HALBEX manages the commercial transaction between Indian suppliers and international buyers, coordinating product compliance, seller onboarding, export documentation, and logistics.

We are currently in the pre-launch stage, preparing for our planned commercial launch in March 2027.

About the Role

We are looking for a hands-on professional to join HALBEX's founding team and help build our food sourcing and export operations from the ground up.

The first priority is to identify reliable Indian farmers, FPOs, processors, millers, and suppliers who can provide export-quality spices, dry fruits, and grains at competitive prices.

The selected candidate will work directly with the founder and gradually establish the supplier network, product onboarding processes, compliance data, logistics partnerships, and shipment execution workflow required for HALBEX.

This is a founding-stage role requiring practical execution, independent research, supplier coordination, and ownership of day-to-day operational tasks.

Key Responsibilities

- Supplier Sourcing & Price Comparison
- Identify major sourcing regions for spices, dry fruits, and grains across India.
- Find and contact farmers, FPOs, processors, millers, and export-ready suppliers.
- Collect comparable quotations and evaluate prices, quality, MOQ, production capacity, packaging, and delivery timelines.
- Identify competitive suppliers while ensuring products meet the required quality and export standards.
- Build and maintain a verified supplier database.
- Product Development & Seller Onboarding




- Collect supplier company documents and product specifications.
- Verify product details, packaging sizes, weights, supply capacity, and export readiness.
- Coordinate supplier registration and product listing on HALBEX.
- Ensure required information and documents are collected before product approval.
- Product-Country Compliance Data
- Research applicable food-export requirements using official government and regulatory sources.
- Develop structured compliance records for each priority product and destination country.
- Identify applicable certificates, testing requirements, labelling rules, restrictions, and supporting evidence.
- Record source references, verification status, and responsible parties.
- Coordinate with the founder and technology team to implement the verified requirements in the platform.
- Logistics Vendor Onboarding
- Identify freight forwarders, customs brokers, shipping partners, and other relevant logistics providers.
- Collect and compare freight quotations.
- Establish procedures for shipment planning, documentation, and logistics coordination.
- Buyer Order & Shipment Execution
- Coordinate supplier confirmation, product availability, compliance approval, and shipment planning.
- Support buyer orders and export documentation.
- Coordinate the complete process from supplier selection to delivery.
- Help execute HALBEX's first commercial export shipment through the online platform.

These are proposed targets and will be finalised according to operational readiness and available resources.

Required Experience

- Experience in food-product sourcing, agricultural commodities, spices, dry fruits, grains, or food exports.
- Practical experience identifying and negotiating with suppliers.
- Understanding of product specifications, quality requirements, pricing, and supply capacity.
- Familiarity with export documentation and international logistics.
- Ability to research regulatory requirements and maintain accurate records.
- Solid communication, negotiation, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to work hands-on in an early-stage startup.

Preference will be given to candidates with direct experience in spices, dry fruits, grains, agricultural commodities, and export-oriented food sourcing.
