Who we are

We're a team of IIT Delhi alumni building Examday, an AI platform that helps aspirants crack government exams in India. Within a few months of launch, 1 in every 5 UPSC aspirants is already using it for their preparation. We've raised our seed round from leading venture capital firms in India and are now building the team for our next stage of growth.

The opportunity

Be the founders' right hand for everything money and compliance. You'll own our books, payments, tax and payroll, and be the single point of contact for our external CA and CS firms and our investors. You'll run the day-to-day work and decide what's ready for founder sign-off.

What you'll own

- Books & close: monthly bank tagging and reconciliation across accounts, sales register vs payment-gateway and app-store settlements, month-end close with our CA, trial balance review.
- Payments (maker–checker): prepare vendor, salary and ad-platform payments, each backed by an invoice and a ledger entry, for founder approval. Keep the controls tight and documented.
- Tax: GST invoicing and credit notes, GST return data, TDS on salaries and vendors, advance tax. Prepare and review what our CA files, and track every deadline.
- Payroll: monthly payroll, payslips, TDS, Form 16 and statutory compliance.
- Investors & due diligence: monthly MIS and P&L; for investors. Answer financial and legal DD queries, maintain the data room,



and prepare valuation inputs and management representation letters.
- Secretarial (with our CS): board and shareholder meetings, minutes, ROC filings, share allotments and FEMA reporting during fundraises.
- Disputes: payment chargebacks and consumer-grievance responses, backed by evidence.
- Systems: written checklists for every recurring process, shared records, and AI-assisted automation of routine reconciliations.

What you bring

- Qualified Chartered Accountant and ICAI member (first attempt preferred), 1–3 years post-qualification.
- Articleship in statutory audit or tax at a Big 4 or top-tier firm.
- At least 1 year in-house at a VC-funded startup, ideally through a fundraise or due diligence.
- Hands-on with GST, TDS, payroll, Tally or Zoho Books, and strong Excel.
- Working knowledge of Companies Act and FEMA compliance for share issues. CS Executive or an LLB is a plus.
- Integrity and precision. You flag gaps instead of smoothing them over, and your records stand on their own.

AI fluency

Hands-on experience with Claude, ChatGPT or comparable tools to automate workflows and check outputs is required.
