Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role based in Nagpur for a Deputy Manager/Manager – Melting/Molding (Foundry Shop). The role involves supervising and controlling day-to-day melting and molding operations in the foundry, ensuring adherence to production plans, quality standards, and safety guidelines.

Responsibilities include monitoring furnace performance, charge preparation, and metal chemistry; optimizing molding processes and core-making; and coordinating with maintenance teams for equipment reliability.

The Deputy

Manager/Manager will lead and train shop-floor teams, implement process improvements,



and maintain documentation related to production, quality, and compliance. The role also requires close collaboration with planning, quality, and logistics functions to meet delivery timelines and cost targets.

Qualifications

- Robust technical knowledge in foundry operations, particularly melting (induction/cupola furnaces, charge calculation, metallurgical parameters) and molding processes (sand systems, pattern and core handling).
- Experience in production planning, process control, and optimization for iron and steel castings, with the ability to meet quality, safety, and output targets.
- Proficiency in quality assurance practices such as metallurgical testing, defect analysis, and implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
- Skills in team leadership, shift supervision, training, and performance management of shop-floor personnel.
- Capability to work with maintenance and engineering teams on preventive maintenance, equipment uptime, and basic troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with industrial safety standards, environmental norms, and compliance requirements in heavy manufacturing or foundry settings.
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Metallurgy, Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, or a related field; advanced qualifications in foundry technology are an advantage.
